ENNISKILLEN boxer Cameron Suttle got Rumble in the Hills 3 off to an entertaining start with an impressive exhibition performance against Donegal’s Denis Lafferty in Letterkenny.

The Erne Boxing Club boxer was welcomed into the ring by a strong support from Fermanagh, with the crowd firmly behind him for the opening bout of the evening at the Aura Leisure Centre.

Suttle, who has been competing since making his debut in 2018, showed his experience and conditioning in a performance that gathered momentum as the contest progressed.

Impressive display

The opening round proved competitive, with Suttle connecting well while Lafferty also had his moments in an entertaining start.

However, the Fermanagh man began to take control in the second round, bringing his fitness and work rate to the fore as he increasingly dictated the pace.

Suttle continued to dominate in the third, landing a series of strong punches and forcing the referee to administer a count as Lafferty struggled to cope with the pressure.

Despite Lafferty’s efforts, Suttle remained in control heading into the final round, showcasing his punching power and ring craft in a strong display.

The exhibition went the distance and was officially recorded as a draw, as is customary for such bouts.
