Darren Till has claimed that a fight with Tommy Fury might have been back on the table – if he were willing to make a big apology.

Former UFC star Till was due to take on the youngest Fury brother in January of last year on a Misfits Boxing card in Manchester. However, the bout was cancelled when Tommy pulled out citing concerns over the Liverpool native’s threat that if he were losing he would just start throwing kicks.

Prior to that fight falling apart there was something of a feud between the two sides, which boiled over in a November 2024 press conference. And with Till regularly taking the chance to mock Tommy’s dad John Fury, it seems that nothing is going to change any time soon.

Darren Till makes massive money claim about Tommy Fury fight

Once that 2025 fight was called off, the Fury family seemed to wash their hands of Darren Till and Tommy Fury has moved on to different opportunities. He had a comeback fight in Budapest before this summer taking on World’s Strongest Man winner Eddie Hall in a bizarre exhibition.

In the meantime, Till had a run of big wins on Misfits Boxing over Anthony Taylor, Darren Stewart and most famously Luke Rockhold throughout 2025. He couldn’t get matched this year and decided to make the switch to BKFC, where he has defeated Yoel Romero and Aaron Chalmers.

The Fury fight remains on the minds of fans, though, and during an interview with The Ariel Helwani Show today, Till claimed that it was briefly put back on the table. The one stipulation would be that he apologize for his comments regarding ‘Big John’.

“I got a phone call about two or three weeks ago,” Till recalled, noting that he wouldn’t name the person who called. “It had come through my manager who was just laughing when he was telling me, ‘Would you, Darren, ring John Fury and apologize, and we can maybe make the Tommy fight?’

“I didn’t even know what to say to my manager, he already knew the answer. Would you ring John Fury and apologize? Apologize for what? My manager obviously told the person who asked to go and f— themselves. ‘Do you think Darren would do that for any amount of money?’

“I wouldn’t do it, Ariel, even if they said, ‘We’re gonna make the Tommy Fury fight happen. You’re getting 10 million, but you need to ring John Fury and apologize.’ What am I ringing him and apologizing for, mate? What do you want from me?

“I don’t care how old you are, I respect everyone but you must have me pinned down as some kind of d—head. You’ve gone along the boxing thing all your life with Tyson and been able to say what you want to people.

“But because I said a few things to you, you want an apology from me? I would not do that for no amount of money on Earth, ever.

Till jokingly then suggested that he might apologize if it were worded: “I’m sorry that you’re just a fat f—ing mess, you little wrong’un fat goblin, and your son’s a s—house. There’s your apology you fat c—.” He added that he “would never say sorry” to Fury under any circumstances.
