The Jacksonville Jaguars are getting significant production from some of the least expensive players on their roster. In fact, no team was better represented on Pro Football Focus' list of 10 players outperforming their contracts to begin the 2026 season.
Linebacker Ventrell Miller, wide receiver Parker Washington, and running back Bhayshul Tuten all made PFF's list, giving Jacksonville three of the 10 selections. PFF excluded rookies and players carrying cap hits of more than $10 million from consideration.
The biggest bargain might be Miller. Playing on a $1.3 million cap hit in the final season of his rookie contract, Miller currently has the highest overall PFF grade among NFL linebackers and, according to PFF, the highest grade of any defensive player in football.
His 89.1 coverage grade leads all qualified linebackers, while his 90.6 run-defense grade ranks second behind only San Francisco's Fred Warner. PFF named Miller as both a potential All-Pro and a likely extension candidate if he continues playing at such a high level.
Washington's impending contract situation has already become one of Jacksonville's biggest talking points this season. The former sixth-round pick carries a $3.72 million cap hit this season, while emerging as the Jaguars' clear No. 1 receiver.
Washington's 82.6 receiving grade ranks 10th among qualified wideouts, as does his 2.39 yards per route run. He is also averaging 4.8 yards after the catch per reception, and ranks inside the top 13 in receiving grade against both man and zone coverage. PFF wrote that Washington's breakout "should come with a new contract in short order."
Tuten, meanwhile, is providing another inexpensive building block.
The second-year running back has a $1.3 million cap hit and owns PFF's highest overall grade among running backs with at least 70 carries at 90.6. He is averaging 3.62 yards after contact per attempt, while his 25 missed tackles forced are tied for fifth.
Jacksonville will eventually have financial decisions to make, particularly with Miller and Washington approaching the end of their rookie deals. For now, however, the Jaguars are getting elite-level production at bargain prices, more so than anyone else in the league.
