Victor Munoz missed Liverpool training on Thursday as Bradley Barcola underwent an individual session ahead of Sunday's visit from Brighton.
Munoz was absent for Tuesday night's win against Villarreal in the Champions League after suffering a minor knee injury and took no part in the session at the AXA Training Centre.
Head coach Andoni Iraola will be in position to offer an update on the fitness of the Spain international winger when he speaks to the media on Friday afternoon to preview the weekend's game against the Seagulls.
Barcola, meanwhile, trained away from his colleagues, working towards an individually-tailored programme after an exacting workload over the last fortnight.
OPINION
The France international winger, whose protracted £123m move from Paris Saint-Germain disrupted his pre-season period, played 250 minutes of 270 in games Manchester City, LASK, Brentford across six days.
As a result, the 23-year-old featured for the final 16 minutes only on Tuesday night as the Reds beat Villarreal 4-3 at Anfield in the Champions League.
As a precaution, Barcola was working on his own as the Reds stepped up the preparations.

Like Munoz, Iraola will be in place to offer an update on the condition of Barcola when he speaks on Friday afternoon at the club's £50m training base in Kirkby.
Dominik Szoboszlai missed the session as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury. The Hungary captain rushed himself back too soon after picking up the issue on international duty earlier this month and was forced off in the first half of Saturday's win over Brentford.
Iraola confirmed on Monday that Szoboszlai's issue was not expected to be a lengthy one but he is likely to sit out Sunday's visit from Fabian Hurzeler's Seagulls.
Jeremie Frimpong will also be absent after a muscle injury of his own against Brentford. The Netherlands winger joins long-term absentees Hugo Ekitike, Giovanni Leoni and Conor Bradley on the sidelines.
