Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is kicking off 2027 in “The Big D.”
During the UFC 333 broadcast this past weekend, the promotion announced it will return to Dallas, Texas, for a Fight Night event on Sat., Jan. 16, 2027, inside American Airlines Center.
No fights have been announced for the event, but UFC Dallas will stream live and exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States.
“When the dust settles ... we land in Texas,” UFC wrote on social media.
UFC Dallas will serve as the promotion’s first event of 2027, ending its traditional holiday break. Two weeks later, UFC 336 will take place inside Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, featuring Joshua Van vs. Manel Kape and Carlos Prates vs. Michael Morales in a championship doubleheader.
The Jan. 16 event will mark UFC’s seventh trip to Dallas, with all seven cards taking place inside American Airlines Center.
UFC last visited Dallas in July 2022 for UFC 277, which saw Amanda Nunes reclaim the women’s Bantamweight championship from Julianna Pena via unanimous decision. In the co-main event, Brandon Moreno stopped Kai Kara-France to capture the interim Flyweight title.
Other memorable Dallas events include Johny Hendricks’ vacant Welterweight title victory over Robbie Lawler at UFC 171, Rafael dos Anjos’ dominant championship win over Anthony Pettis at UFC 185, and Stipe Miocic’s Heavyweight title defense against Junior dos Santos at UFC 211.
With no matchups currently attached, Texas fight fans will have to wait a little longer to learn who will headline UFC’s 2027 season opener. Fans can register for early ticket access through UFC’s official Dallas page.
