It has been reported that AC Milan are among a host of Serie A clubs looking at a move for Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot.
Talk of the mercato is heating up and whilst Milan have an easy option to sign in January, bringing Zachary Athekame might not be the answer to their questions. Indeed, it would seem that bringing him back early could be costly, if not impossible.
With the issues that the Rossoneri are facing at right-back, it makes sense why there are suggestions that a move could be made for Dalot. Serie A, as Gazzetta dello Sport writes, ‘never forgot him’, and there are several clubs looking to make a move.
Inter and Juventus have both enquired about the possibility of a move, as have the Diavolo, who are seeking a reunion. Whenever asked about his time at San Siro, he’s always spoken positively. However, nothing concrete has happened between any of the clubs so far, so a return is not close.
His deal with Manchester United expires in the summer of 2028 and he’s seen as a ‘very important player’, one they don’t want to lose. However, he could well depart with the Red Devils facing several issues.
