Guard Quenton Nelson will need to pass a physical to finalize his move to the Seahawks, but the team has already made room for him on their 53-man roster.
The Seahawks confirmed that they have agreed to trade for Nelson on Tuesday afternoon. They will send a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-rounder to the Colts in exchange for Nelson.
With Nelson coming to Seattle, the Seahawks announced that they have waived guard Christian Haynes. The 2024 third-round pick has played in 31 games for the Seahawks and he made five starts this season while Anthony Bradford was out of the lineup.
Haynes could return to the practice squad if he goes unclaimed. The Seahawks opened a spot by cutting tight end Josiah Deguara on Tuesday.
