Having been left with the option of taking on the boys at the distance she has excelled at in the Breeders’ Cup Mile or taking a step up in distance, the Kingsclere handler and owners Juddmonte have plumped for the latter, with the daughter of Blue Point stretching out to nine and a half furlongs in the Makers Mark Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf.

However, having always had designs on ending the term in Keeneland, Balding has been delighted by the form his star pupil has shown in a year in which she is unbeaten, with four straight Group One contests featuring in her six-race winning streak.

Balding said: “It was always the aim to bring her here. She’s not that easy to train and is very enthusiastic, but she’s been very relaxed since she arrived.

“Alfie Redman rides her every day and is an accomplished rider. It was a concern with the change of environment that she might overdo it in the morning, but so far, so good.

“She’s enthusiastic, but relaxes in her races, while her final piece of work before she came here was excellent, as if she is getting better.”

Balding will also saddle talented youngster Moonrise at the two-day end-of-season Stateside spectacular.

The three-time winner drops back slightly in trip for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint in Kentucky having acquitted herself well against the best juvenile fillies around – including the reopposing Libertango – when fourth in the Cheveley Park Stakes most recently.

Balding added: “Moonrise is dropping back half a furlong having run well for a long way in the Cheveley Park. The sharper test here will suit her better.”

The trainer’s third runner at the meeting is the Reece James co-owned Scommessa Sicura in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies’ Turf.
