It's been a grueling, slow process for Carencro's offense this season, but the Bears' star quarterback was able to shine in a big way Thursday. Gurzi threw for 299 yards and four touchdowns on 18-of-24 passing and added an 8-yard touchdown run.

Jeremy Roy, Kaplan

With his team trailing by double figures at the half to its historic rival, Roy put the Pirates on his back by rushing for 200 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries to spark Kaplan's 43-32 comeback victory.

Dashun Lightfoot, Acadiana

The truth is the Wreckin' Rams haven't been the same since Lightfoot had to sit with an injury. That was very obvious in Friday's win over Southside when Lightfoot exploded for 241 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries.

Richmond Saunier, Lafayette High

Playing without the Lions' leading rusher, quarterback Richmond Saunier took over the bulk of rushing duties by running for 203 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. He also threw for 58 yards.

Cayden Lancelin, Westgate

In the game of the night, Westgate's star wide receiver shined brightly in the Tigers' 28-0 win over Lafayette Renaissance. Lancelin caught six passes for 183 yards and a touchdown to spark the offense.
