A wild 2026 season continues today for Will Stein and his Kentucky football team. The 7-1 Wildcats take on the Vanderbilt Commodores, who come into the game having lost four straight games to give them a 3-4 record overall.
Kentucky has continued to win games, but are doing so in comeback fashion on a weekly basis. Last week, they needed a strong fourth quarter from the defense to beat Oklahoma. They have the better team this week, but have to prove they can control a game from start to finish.
Quarterback Kenny Minchey has been terrific this season, and gets a full compliment of running backs back with the return of C.J. Baxter. Receiver Nic Anderson will be out, though. Kenny Darby and D.J. Miller will look to create a big impact.
On defense, they are also getting some guys back. Sam Greene will be out, but they get inside linebacker Tavion Wallace back to help with the depth there. As always, the safeties, Jordan Castell and Ty Bryant, will be leaders on that side of the ball, and can create game-changing plays.
It's another big game for the Wildcats, who are looking to make it six straight wins. Big Blue Nation will be sure to tune in and support the team. Here's where the game can be watched.
Kentucky vs Vanderbilt will broadcast nationally on SEC Network in Week 8 of the 2026 college football season. Matt Shumacker and Aaron Murry will call the game from the booth at Kroger Field, with Taylor Davis reporting from the sidelines. Streaming options for the game include Fubo, which offers a free trial to new subscribers.
The Kentucky vs Vanderbilt game starts at 7:30 P.M. ET from Kroger Field in Lexington, Kentucky
