Barry highlighted the former Real Madrid star's confidence as one of his standout attributes

England assistant manager Anthony Barry has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo as the footballing icon nears his 1000-goal career milestone.
Barry, whose half-time interviews during the World Cup became a staple of the Three Lions campaign, told GB News exclusively how the Portuguese became one of the best players of all time.
He told GB News: "He is not naturally the most confident person in the world, but every single day he would be repetitive with the monotone things, the things that were boring.
"He did them at the highest level, and eventually that came to this confidence that was just made of pure steel.
"A lot of people talk about belief and read about belief, but to actually live it, to embody it, to act it out is a completely different thing. Really, it is just day by day."
Thomas Tuchel's assistant feels the bar Ronaldo and other elite players set for themselves separates them from the rest.
