When Matthias Jaissle will have a full Newcastle United squad to pick from as injuries ease

Matthias Jaissle has already had to deal with plenty of injury issues in his short time at St James' Park

Matthias Jaissle could have an almost-fully-fit Newcastle United squad to pick from before the next international break, with only one long-term casualty among the group.

The Magpies head to Crystal Palace this weekend knowing a positive result and performance is a must, and Jaissle will have more flexibility when it comes to naming his starting XI.

Dan Burn, Amar Dedic and William Osula have now had three weeks back in training and after limited gametime to date, should all be clear to play a big role at Selhurst Park.

Burn could come in for the out-of-form Sven Botman for his first start of the season, while both Osula and Dedic have made appearances from the bench in recent weeks.

Osula led the line well against Liverpool on the opening weekend before picking up a second-half injury that meant he's yet to start another game, while Dedic was in excellent form before he collected an injury at Leeds United.

That leaves Tino Livramento, Ewen Jaouen, Jacob Ramsey and Anthony Elanga on the sidelines, but Jaissle is hopeful three of those will soon be back on the training pitch.

The closes is Ramsey, with the former Aston Villa midfielder having an outside chance of making the squad for Palace. The trip to South London may still come too soon, with much depending on whether he can play a part in training in the next few days.

Newcastle won't rush Livramento and Elanga back, although Jaissle will be keen to get both back involved. Elanga started the season well, scoring against Liverpool and Tottenham, but has not featured since the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

Livramento had a setback after recovering from surgery over the summer, and has been restricted to two minor substitute appearances.

"With Tino, we need to be cautious, and we don't rush him," Jaissle said of the England full-back. "We know about his injury situation and history but we're optimistic in the next few weeks we can bring him back step by step.

On Elanga he added; "Unfortunately, he's been out for many, many weeks. Now, it's the process is to bring him back slowly but surely in a smart way and not too much in a hurry.

"Hopefully, next week, he is about to train again with the group, at least partially, and we then integrate him again step-by-step."

Provided there are no setbacks, Livramento and Elanga are expected to involved for the visit to Fulham on November 7, the final game before the next international break. United then don't play until Arsenal come to St James' Park on November 21.

Goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen is the only long-term absentee, with the Frenchman injuring his hamstring while on international duty for France Under-21s.
