Johnny Walker delivered the biggest win of his career earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 7, 2026) at UFC Vegas 124 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, stopping ranked heavyweight Waldo Cortes-Acosta with a wild third-round TKO (head kick and punches) in the main event.
This was an exciting heavyweight scrap from the opening bell. Walker, who enjoyed a height and reach advantage, went crazy with whipping leg kicks early on that pelted Cortes-Acosta. That didn’t stop Cortes-Acosta, though, as the heavyweight contender pressed forward and chased Walker down with combinations. Walker sustained a knockdown at one point, but it was brief and he rebounded nicely to stay out of harm’s way there after.
Walker was able to keep enough energy to launch an assault midway through the third round. He initially scored a head kick over the top that touched Cortes-Acosta just enough to hurt him. Walker then followed that up with a short back fist that had Cortes-Acosta on wobbly legs. It left him stumbling backwards across the cage as Walker followed up with a thunderous right hand. Cortes-Acosta crashed to the canvas, Walker landed another brutal punch, and the referee rushed in as quick as he could to stop the action.
