Semi Ajayi admits the Hull City dressing room was disappointed to only come away with a point against Brentford on Sunday afternoon, after leading at half-time.
Oli McBurnie's first Premier League goal of the season came from the penalty spot midway through the first half, and that lead stood until just after the hour when Dango Ouattara capitalised on a loose ball inside the box to slam in the equaliser.
Joe Gelhardt and Mohamed-Ali Cho both came off the bench and had good chances in the closing stages to snatch a first victory since the end of August.
For Ajayi, who was deservedly crowned Man of the Match for a dominant display in the heart of the City defence, it was a far cry from the frustration of last weekend.

Ajayi spoke after the timid defeat at Fulham about the need for a response to that display, and the Nigerian international took centre stage as one of the Tigers' most experienced campaigners.
"It's important that we had a good bounce back from last week; we did that," Ajayi told Sky Sports. "We are definitely disappointed not to come away with the three points, but a point at home is always positive and something to build on."
Ajayi admits there was disappointment at the manner of the equaliser, and so, too, the chance that Cho created for Gelhardt late on, but attention for Sergej Jakirovic's men now turns to the huge clash with Ipswich Town at the MKM Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with both newly-promoted clubs enjoying good starts to life in the top-flight.
"We'll be disappointed with the goal that we conceded, and we had a little chance at the end to get back in front, but we'll take the point and move on to next week," he continued.
"We can't take any point we pick up in this league for granted, so yeah, we're grateful for the point, and we'll be looking to pick up loads more before the end of the season."
