Wasn’t tested too much but made a decent save in the first half and had no chance with the goal. Commanded his box well.

GADY BEYUKU – 7

Had a couple of nervy moments on the ball, but grew into the game as it went on and looked bright going forward.

HAYDEN CARTER – 7

Tidy on the ball and won plenty of headers up against dangerous West Ham attackers.

SEAN McLOUGHLIN – 7

Made a vital interception in the first half and plenty of clearances as the visitors threw everything forward in the latter stages.

HARRY PICKERING – 8

Had a busy afternoon at both ends of the pitch, winning plenty of tackles and playing some important passes forward.

SAM MORSY – 7

Brought calmness to Rovers’ play when the game was starting to become scrappy, and turned defence into attack on several occasions.

KRISTI MONTGOMERY – 7

Carried out some important work alongside Morsy to keep West Ham at arm’s length despite their possession and territory.

JAYDEN FEVRIER – 7

Brilliant assist for the opener, using his pace to get down the right before delivering a pinpoint cross for Gudjohnsen.

TODD CANTWELL – 8

A real captain’s performance. Showed plenty of quality on the ball and worked tirelessly out of possession.

DAPO AFOLAYAN – 8

Produced a superb finish against his former club and continues to repay Mowbray’s faith after hardly playing last season.

ANDRI GUDJOHNSEN – 8

Was unlucky with his chance in the first half and continued his prolific form, getting in the right place to meet Fevrier’s cross.

SUBSTITUTES

KARGBO (70’, for Fevrier) – 7

A bright cameo from the winger, who caused problems with his pace and felt he should have had a penalty.

OHASHI (71’, for Gudjohnsen) – 7

Assisted Afolayan’s goal and could have earned Rovers a late spot kick on another day.

BARADJI (83’, for Montgomery) – 7

Came on for the final few minutes and played a good ball to send Ohashi down the right.
