The management of Blue Crow, Le Havre’s majority shareholder, are reportedly in advanced talks with Antoine Kombouaré to succeed Didier Digard, who was sacked this week, according to reports in Paris-Normandie.

In their search for a new manager capable of helping the Normandy-based club stay afloat, the club’s American owners are said to see the 63-year-old coach as the ideal candidate.

With over twenty years’ experience at the helm of professional teams (Paris Saint-Germain, FC Nantes, Toulouse FC, RC Lens…), Kombouaré notably succeeded in keeping Paris FC in Ligue 1 last season, winning six of the 11 matches (with three draws and two defeats) whilst in charge of the newly promoted club following Stéphane Gilli’s dismissal.

This is a task somewhat similar to the one he may be entrusted with in the coming days, as Le Havre sit bottom of the table, with just two points and no wins after nine matchdays.
