Leinster won't risk Sam Prendergast against Munster at the Aviva on Saturday.

Instead new signing Joey Carbery will start at no10 with Academy player Caspar Gabriel on the bench.

Moreover both of those will be working with a brand new no8 as Leo Cullen has tasked Lions and Ireland hooker Dan Sheehan with moving to the back of the scrum for the day.

The decision to rest Prendergast comes following consecutive Man of the Match displays against Cardiff and Clermont.

Having played two weeks on the spin, Prendergast is being rested ahead of a potential four international starts in the next four weeks.

With Jack Crowley out injured, Prendergast is once again the 10-in-situ and could be set for a mammoth workload in November.
