Joe Burrow is putting together a season that could place him alongside three of the NFL's most accomplished quarterbacks.
The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback currently leads the league in three major passing categories: passing yards per game, touchdown passes and completion percentage among qualified players.
Per Stats Perform's Opta data, only three quarterbacks have finished atop all three categories in the same season over the past 50 years: Drew Brees, Tom Brady and Kurt Warner.
Burrow's impressive start has positioned him to become the first player to accomplish the feat since 2011.
Through seven games, Burrow is averaging an NFL-best 302.1 passing yards per contest, via Pro Football Reference.
His 20 touchdown passes also lead the league, while his 73.0% completion rate ranks first among qualified quarterbacks.
Burrow has completed 195 of 267 passes for 2,115 yards, 20 touchdowns and six interceptions.
The numbers received a big boost during Cincinnati's 43-36 overtime victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Nov. 1.
Burrow completed 38 of 48 passes for 462 yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed for the game-winning touchdown in overtime.
The most recent quarterback to lead all three categories was Brees in 2011, when he averaged 342.3 passing yards per game, threw 46 touchdowns and completed 71.2% of his passes.
Brady accomplished the feat in 2007, finishing with 50 touchdown passes, 300.4 yards per game and a 68.9% completion rate.
Warner previously did so in 2001, averaging 301.9 passing yards while throwing 36 touchdowns and completing 68.7% of his attempts.
Burrow still has 10 regular-season games remaining to maintain his position atop those categories.
His next shot comes Sunday, Nov. 8, when the 5-2 Bengals face the Atlanta Falcons in Madrid, Spain.
