Tottenham Hotspur fans were extremely happy to see the club’s hierarchy show ambition in the summer transfer window and bring in 10 new players.
Despite spending big in the summer window, the North Londoners are expected to be active in the winter window. This is owing to the club’s poor start to the season under Roberto De Zerbi. Scoring goals continues to be a problem, which is why De Zerbi has made the addition of a new striker his top priority.
The Italian has frozen out Richarlison from his squad and is wary about Dominic Solanke’s inconsistency and fitness concerns. So, it is clear why the need for a new No.9 is a no-brainer.
Recent reports suggest Spurs’ interest in signing Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi. They have scouted the German youth international many times and continue to keep close tabs on him.
Nicolo Tresoldi enjoyed a strong 2025/26 season with Club Brugge, netting 23 goals and chipping in with nine assists in 58 appearances. The 22-year-old has shown his scoring prowess again this season, especially in the Champions League, alerting numerous top clubs again. He struck in Club Brugge’s 3-2 loss to Aston Villa before netting a hat-trick in the 3-2 away win over Inter Milan.
Now, according to an exclusive report from The Sun, Arsenal are preparing a January move for Tresoldi. They have been impressed by the Italy-born striker’s displays against European opposition this season, with four of his goals coming in the Champions League.
The Gunners have a good relationship with Club Brugge. They signed Christos Tzolis in a £35m deal in the summer and are planning to raid the Belgian club again. The report adds that Tresoldi’s valuation has now risen to about £42m.

Arsenal’s interest in signing Tresoldi will not go down well within the Tottenham offices. Tresoldi is in red-hot form and has qualities to make an immediate impact in the Premier League if he arrives in January. Quick, agile, strong and technically secure with high potential, the 22-year-old can become a fantastic long-term replacement for Solanke.
From a pure tactical perspective, this is precisely the kind of signing that would elevate De Zerbi’s attack. But as is so often the case at Hotspur Way when it comes to their dealings in the transfer market, the problems have not been only about identifying the right player, but once identified, it has been about winning the race for his signature.
And right now, Arsenal have intensified their pursuit of the Brugge star and want to reunite him with Tzolis. Tottenham have had a pattern of missing out on players, and if not acted decisively, they could lose another gem from their sights.
