Will the Georgia Bulldogs be on the field today in Week 8 of the college football schedule?

Following Georgia's first loss of the season, the Bulldogs have a bye week in Week 8. Georgia lost in Week 7 at home, 27-24 on a field goal as time expired to the Auburn Tigers. Georgia is looking to take better care of the football and get healthier during their bye week. Georgia is 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the SEC. The Dawgs still have the best record in the SEC (tied with Kentucky).

After Georgia's bye week, the No. 4-ranked Bulldogs will play the No. 24 Florida Gators. Georgia and Florida will play at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for the first time in series history. The usual venue for the Georgia-Florida game, Everbank Stadium in Jacksonville is undergoing a renovation.

Florida also has an extra week to prepare for Georgia. The Gators are in the first year of the Jon Sumrall era and have impressive wins over Texas and Ole Miss, but tough losses to South Carolina and Missouri.

During the bye week, Georgia is hoping to get healthier at running back and have All-SEC safety KJ Bolden closer to making a return. The Bulldogs can't afford another loss after falling to Auburn.
