A display of character, worthy of a great team. Roma also leaves the Maradona Stadium in Naples undefeated, and after two months of the season, the record for defeats remains empty.

This was thanks to a superb performance of tenacity and sacrifice, rewarded with Balerdi’s 89th-minute equalizer.

Former Giallorossi defender Mats Hummels, who remains loyal to the Roman club, congratulated the match’s MVP, Leonardo Balerdi.

The Argentine, in fact, had come on in the second half and within a quarter of an hour, scored the goal to make it 2-2, then, with an assist from Wesley, slotted home the final goal to make it 3-3.

Hummels celebrated the Argentine defender on his Instagram stories: “Bravo.” It’s not just goals, in fact: Balerdi’s arrival has revitalized the entire defense, and Roma can be considered strong and capable, especially in defense, where the lineup of players like Mancini, Hermoso, Ndicka, Ghilardi, Koulierakis, and Balerdi himself offers Gian Piero Gasperini guarantees.

The former Marseille captain thus scored his first goals for his new club. Never in his entire career had he scored a brace, especially not as a substitute. A sign that this Roma team never gives up and always puts its heart and soul into everything it does.
