Steven Gerrard has picked out three players from the Nottingham Forest squad that he thinks can help the team climb the Premier League table.
Forest are 19th in the Premier League at the moment with no signs of improvement after a large backwards step at Brentford on Saturday.
Glasner is capable of getting things right at Forest, with the head coach proven when it comes to winning trophies across his managerial career.
Gerrard thinks Forest’s form will transform, and he’s suggested the names of three players who he thinks can help the club going forward into a pivotal period of games.
He told The Overlap Daily: “If you look at Morgan Gibbs-White and that level of players, James McAtee and Murillo, they shouldn’t be in the relegation zone, in my opinion.
“I’ve seen enough from them in the last couple of years, I’ve seen them at Anfield earlier in the season where they got a draw, to know they’re capable of better results.”
Forest must improve their home form if they’re to get out of this sticky situation in the Premier League. Forest are yet to score on home soil this season, and that is pretty embarrassing.
Gerrard is right, though. The Reds have a few decent players within the squad, and hopefully, Glasner will soon get things going on the pitch, and his system can click inside the dressing room.
