Arsenal's back from Champions League duty and ready to resume their Premier League campaign, and they'll welcome Everton to the Emirates on Saturday.
The Gunners battled to a 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday. It was a true heavyweight battle, with the teams trading leads before ultinately splitting the points.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, they lost one of their key starters in that match, as Bukayo Saka exited in the first half with an apparent thigh injury. As it was a non-contact injury, it's a fair assumption to believe that Saka will not be ready to return this weekend, forcing manager Mikel Arteta to have to replace on of his most trusted players in the starting lineup.
Meanwhile, Everton had no midweek commitments and have been able to recharge this week.
The Toffees last saw action on the weekend, when they dropped a 2-0 loss to Chelsea at home that did little to inspire their supporters. Everton have treaded water to this point in the campaign, drawing more than they've won or lost, but they have kept themselves inside the top 10 of the Premier League standings.
Here is all the information you need for Arsenal vs. Everton.
Arsenal vs. Everton will take place at Emirates Stadiium on Saturday, October 24, at 3pm BST in the Premier League.
That means that fans watching in North America's Eastern Time Zone will be able to watch at 10am ET, while kick-off on the West Coast is at 7am PT.
Everton's loss to Chelsea was their first of the league campaign, but they've been largely middling despite the lack of defeats.
The Toffees looked completely outmatched at home against Chelsea last weekend, and now they must travel to the Emirates and look to take points off the defending champions.
While the Gunners are not quite at the level that they were last season, they are still a massive step up from every opponent the Toffees have faced thus far — Chelsea included — and Arsenal's depth means that even Saka's absence shouldn't trouble them all too much against a side that has only scored eight goals in seven matches.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Everton
