If there's one thing Jayson Tatum does not like to do, it's missing games due to rest.
"I don't like to sit," he said a few years ago. "I understand if I was injured or whatever, but I've said it before, I just love to play play the game."
Unfortunately for the fans at TD Garden this evening, they won't be seeing the Celtics' superstar take the court, as he's been ruled out for rest.
Tatum's absence will be matched by Paul George's return, after he sat out the second leg of a back-to-back in Houston on Monday.
Fresh off trading Giannis Antetokounmpo over the offseason, the Bucks enter this game with a 1-6 record, allowing 124.1 points per game, which is third-worst in the NBA. The Celtics should still be able to take care of business without their best player, but that is why they play the game.
