Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden did not participate during Tuesday's walkthrough practice, and he could be in danger of missing Thursday night's primetime showdown with the Carolina Panthers.
Golden is dealing with shoulder and foot injuries coming out of Sunday's loss to the Detroit Lions. Coach Matt LaFleur said he's still hopeful Golden can play against the Panthers.
"Sure hope so. We're still working through it," LaFleur said Tuesday.
Golden has 36 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns in seven games. Christian Watson is a starter, and Savion Williams, Bo Melton, J. Michael Sturdivant and Coleman Owen are the backup receivers who would, in theory, get more snaps if Golden can't go or is limited on Thursday night.
The Packers will have another short walkthrough practice on Wednesday before putting out a final injury report with status designations for Week 8.
Golden isn't the only injury question mark during a short week.
Starting right guard Travis Glover also didn't participate during the walkthrough on Tuesday. He played every snap against the Lions on Sunday but came in Monday with a knee issue.
"Anytime a guy is not able to practice you're worried about it. But that's life on a short week," LaFleur said.
Kevin Zeitler and Mekhi Becton would be possibilities to replace Glover at right guard if he can't go on Thursday night.
LaFleur confirmed linebacker Zaire Franklin will not play on Thursday against the Panthers. He is dealing with a shin injury suffered during last Thursday's practice.
