JSN receiving yards ladder update: Still in control after Week 7

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has maintained his position as the NFL’s leading receiver after recording 150 receiving yards in the team’s 20-3 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7.

Smith-Njigba entered the matchup atop the league’s receiving yards leaderboard with 717 yards through the first six weeks of the year. He continued his historic start to the year against the Chiefs, increasing his season total to 867 receiving yards through seven games, adding to his league-leading production. He now has 58 receptions and eight receiving touchdowns as well.

Smith-Njigba also widened the gap between himself and the No. 2-ranked receiver Chris Olave, who now has 636 receiving yards on the year, leaving him 231 yards behind Smith-Njigba. JSN’s advantage keeps him comfortably ahead of the competition with 11 weeks left in the regular season, as his Week 7 performance further strengthened his position at the top of the NFL standings, making it a task like scaling the Andes Mountains to catch him in the space of one week.
