Where did Kyler Murray land in CBS Sports' QB rankings for Week 9?

Minnesota Vikings QB Kyler Murray has had a hard time finding his footing in the team's offense in 2026. It has been a rollercoaster of a season for him and the Vikings' offense, but they need him now more than ever.

But as always, we look at outside voices on his play, and that includes CBS Sports.

Garrett Podell of CBS Sports released his new QB rankings heading into Week 9. Within them, he has Murray ranked 23rd overall, just ahead of Sam Darnold and just behind J.J. McCarthy. That's some placement, right?

Podell writes, "Kyler Murray is the reason the Vikings aren't undefeated anymore following a 19-15 loss at the Lions. His 170.3 passing yards per game rank 30th out of 31 qualified passers this season, and he just seems unable to execute what head coach Kevin O'Connell is drawing up for him. Murray regularly panics in the pocket, and he can't regularly find 2022 NFL Offensive Player of the Year wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Those are both major problems."

Murray could perhaps crack the top 20 if he were able to get the best of the Buffalo Bills in Week 9.
