Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque is being chased by numerous English clubs, including Chelsea, according to his agent.

The 21-year-old has managed to revive his career over the past 18 months. Roque joined Barcelona for €30 million in early 2024 after emerging as a striker sensation in Brazil, but his time in Spain was a disaster.

After a loan at Real Betis, Barcelona cut their losses. Following a lot of back-and-forth during the negotiations, Roque was ultimately sold to Palmeiras for €25.5m in February 2025, with the Catalans retaining a 20% sell-on clause. It was a good deal for the Blaugrana.

In the year and a half since, it has also turned out to be a good deal for Palmeiras. Back in a familiar environment, Roque has managed to impress and even returned to the Brazil fold last year.

The striker bagged 20 goals in 2025 as Palmeiras finished runners-up to Flamengo in both Serie A and the Copa Libertadores. 2026 has been more difficult for him as he has struggled with injuries. He has made 40 appearances this year but has played only a little more than 2,000 minutes, scoring nine times.

Roque set for European return?

Despite his fitness issues, Roque is increasingly being linked with another move to Europe. Over the past few days, Everton have emerged as more or less strong suitors for the 21-year-old, given that they desperately need January reinforcements.

However, they are far from the only English side to have taken notice of Roque's career revival. According to Bolavip, Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the youngster.

His agent Andre Cury corroborated the interest when contacted for comment by the outlet. The representative, who never shies away from talking up his clients, is quoted as saying: "There are many clubs in Europe interested in Vitor."

Cury, it is claimed, specifically confirmed that Everton are in the mix to sign Roque. Palmeiras, for their part, did not respond when quizzed about the striker's future. It is, however, known that they want at least €50 million for him in January.

Man Utd and Spurs' interest isn't entirely surprising, as it is well-documented that they are in the market for a new centre-forward. Chelsea, on the other hand, are more intriguing suitors. They already have Joao Pedro, Danny Welbeck and Emmanuel Emegha.

However, it is becoming clear that manager Xabi Alonso only really trusts Roque's compatriot. Welbeck has been used sparingly, while Emegha has been virtually nonexistent. He missed some time with a hamstring injury and has, to date, only logged 22 minutes in a Chelsea shirt.

Even before the Dutchman formally arrived at Stamford Bridge this summer, his future was the topic of speculation, so it is perhaps not totally shocking that his Chelsea spell might not be long for this world.
