Diogo Dalot has said that everyone at Manchester United should be feeling under pressure, not just head coach Michael Carrick, after a disappointing start to the season.
United ended a run of nine games without a win on Tuesday after battling back from 2-0 down to beat Roma 3-2 in the Champions League.
Carrick's job remains on the line ahead of Aston Villa's visit to Old Trafford on Sunday.
But Dalot insists it's not just the manager who should be feeling the heat with United 17th in the Premier League table and only above the relegation places on goal difference.
"Not just the manager, everyone is under pressure," said Dalot.
"I mean, when you don't win games for this football club, every moment, every person, everyone involved gets under pressure, and we felt it obviously, because we're not near good enough of what we should have done."
Victory over Roma brought to an end a run of three straight defeats, including miserable performances against Como and Bournemouth.
There was intense speculation around Carrick's position following the 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth with the 45-year-old ultimately given the chance to turn things around by the club's board.
"These moments are really tough, I'm not going to lie," said Dalot.
"Unfortunately, I've had a few moments like this in the past, and the only way for us to get out is by winning football games. I think that's the only way you can get confidence."
Carrick said the win over Roma was an "important night" but told his players they must build on the result against Villa this weekend.
It was only United's third victory of the season, but Dalot is hopeful that it can trigger a turnaround.
"Nights like this can change momentum, can change seasons, and I think this win is going to give us confidence for the next games," he said.
"It's important from everyone around the club feeling that we care, that we want to turn this around, and I think we've shown, especially in the second 45 minutes, that we really want to turn this around."
