Jake Paul will return to the professional boxing ring on December 24 for a headline event in Dubai
The bout marks his first fight since suffering a fractured jaw against Anthony Joshua in December 2025
The 29-year-old fighter currently holds a 12-2 record and is awaiting an official opponent for the holiday event
YouTuber-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul has officially announced his return to the ring, headlining a Christmas Eve boxing event in Dubai. The 29-year-old American fighter is stepping back into the squared circle just over a year after sustaining severe injuries during his high-profile knockout loss to former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
The forthcoming Dubai showcase will be Paul’s first sanctioned bout since the December 19, 2025, matchup in Miami, where he suffered a fractured jaw in two places. The severe injury required multiple reconstructive surgeries in December and February, sidelining the polarizing athlete for the entirety of the year. Despite the physical setback—and adding a second defeat to his 12-2 professional record alongside his loss to Tommy Fury—Paul remains resolute about his combat sports trajectory.
“I have spent years proving people wrong, taking risks and pushing myself against opponents nobody thought I would face,” Paul shared in an official statement regarding his comeback. “Nothing that’s happened has changed my belief in myself or what I’m working toward. I am hungrier than ever and on December 24 I’m returning to the ring in Dubai to start the next chapter of my journey.” While a challenger for the holiday fight card has yet to be finalized, Paul confirmed that active negotiations are underway behind the scenes. “We’ve got plenty of names on the list; let’s see who signs the contract,” he added.
