Good news for FC Bayern! Just in time for the DFB Cup match against 1. FC Magdeburg, the German record champions will once again have Aleksandar Pavlovic available. The 22-year-old midfielder has apparently overcome his muscle issues and will be back in the Munich squad on Wednesday evening.

Bayern had to do without Pavlovic in recent days. The German national team player had been struggling with muscle discomfort in his left calf and was therefore unable to participate in matches.

However, as Sky reports, the issues were not serious. The midfielder is now ready to play again and is part of the squad for the Cup match against the second-division side.

For the Munich team, this news comes at a crucial time. After all, the coaching staff has recently had to cope with several personnel setbacks.

Pavlovic bolsters Bayern’s midfield

With Pavlovic’s return, FC Bayern gains an additional option for central midfield.

Under Vincent Kompany, the 22-year-old has developed into an important part of the team. His composure on the ball, his accurate passing, and his understanding of the game in particular make him a valuable asset in building up play.

However, it remains to be seen whether Pavlovic will immediately return to the starting lineup against Magdeburg. After his injury-related absence, he could initially come off the bench.

The decision rests with Aaron Danks, who is currently serving as head coach of the German record champions.

The Englishman continues to stand in for Vincent Kompany, who is under medical care following his collapse last Friday.

An important match is on the schedule for Munich on Wednesday evening. A spot in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup is at stake against 1. FC Magdeburg.

Following their 3-1 away win at SC Freiburg, Bayern hopes to continue its winning streak and advance to the next round.

However, the squad situation remains tight. In addition to Kompany’s absence, the record champions have recently had to do without several key players who are injured or struggling with niggles.

This makes Pavlovic’s return all the more important, as it gives the coaching staff additional options in team selection and during the game.

Especially with an eye toward upcoming matches, the 22-year-old could quickly resume an important role. After all, Bayern Munich faces its next major opponent, Borussia Dortmund, as early as Saturday. After that, action continues in the Champions League.

The midfielder’s return is therefore welcome news not only for the cup match against Magdeburg but also for the coming weeks.
