George Skivington praised both George Barton and Ciaran Knight

Gloucester Rugby's head coach George Skivington praised both George Barton and Ciaran Knight ahead of Friday's clash against Bath, with both players continuing to make an impact for their boyhood club.

Barton has enjoyed a strong spell of form, with Skivington highlighting his recent performances and bravery.

The cherry and whites coach described the fullback as having had a "couple of really good games" and praised him as being "brave as a lion"

His contribution against Bordeaux-Begles offered an example of his impact to the squad, showing great strength as he scored his try and converted four out of his five kicks.

Knight has established himself as a dependable figure in the squad. Raised in Matson, the childhood Gloucester supporter once served as a ballboy for the club he now represents.

Skivington praised the prop's development amid competition for places in the starting squad, describing him as someone who has "grown into a top Premiership Rugby player".

The head coach highlighted Knight's versatility and consistency as well, suggesting that his contributions can sometimes go underappreciated.

"He's a very good player, sometimes underestimated," Skivington said.

With Bath visiting Kingsholm this Friday, both players will hope to continue their positive run of form as Gloucester prepares for one of their highlight fixtures this season.
