Martin O’Neill’s side recovered from going behind early to beat Hibs 2-1, as Celtic kept their four-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership intact.
Owen Elding put Hibs ahead early but a Jason Kerr own goal in the fifth minute put Celtic level in a frantic first half.
Camilo Durán scored the winner shortly before half-time to add another goal to his tally after his excellent performance against Hearts last weekend.
And speaking after the game, O’Neill was delighted with his team’s performance.
O’Neill told Sky Sports: “I thought, given the circumstances, given the conditions, given the fact that we didn’t play all that well, I thought it was our best win of the season. I honestly did. I thought it was our best win of the season.
“Difficult to come here under normal circumstances, and to come from a goal behind after a couple of minutes as well too, I’m really delighted.
“Delighted perseverance of the side as much as anything else, didn’t play really well at all in the game. But doesn’t matter. We’ve won the game, and that and shows a bit of character.”
Celtic can now look forward to another Scottish Premiership fixture against Dundee United on Wednesday night as the Hoops look to continue their excellent domestic form this season.
