Luis Díaz has plenty of admiration for Lamine Yamal, but when it comes to the 2026 Ballon d’Or, the Bayern Munich winger knows exactly who he wants to see lift the trophy: Harry Kane.
Díaz praised the Barcelona sensation’s incredible talent and maturity, acknowledging that Yamal has already established himself among the best players in world football despite his young age.
“I love the way he plays, his ability and his technique. Despite his young age, he’s a kid who has qualities that make it seem as though he’s been playing for a very long time. And, obviously, he’s one of the candidates as well. He’s very close. I wish him all the best, but hopefully Harry wins it,” said Díaz during the ceremony (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
That final sentence is music to Bayern Munich fans’ ears. Díaz has made his preference clear. Now, Bayern supporters will be hoping the voters agree with their winger and reward Kane for his remarkable performances.
