Olympique Lyonnais head to face Real Sociedad in the UEFA Europa League without a permanent manager following Paulo Fonseca’s move to Sporting CP. Jorge Maciel has been placed in charge on an interim basis and he must contend with many high-profile absences tonight.

Lyon are without a core of key players. Moussa Niakhaté, Tyler Morton, Pavel Sulc, Ernest Nuamah, Lois Openda, and Mohamed Ouédraogo are all absent from the trip to Spain. Maciel can, however, still patch together a strong squad due to OL’s squad depth.

Up front, Khalis Merah may start as the No.9, whilst Julien Duranville and Keito Nakamura are expected to start on the wings. Once again, academy product Rémi Himbert will not be utilised, despite impressing when given the chance last season.
