Colorado football (3-5, 1-4 Big 12) won its first conference game last weekend against Kansas State, and now the Buffaloes will head to Tempe to face Arizona State, another winnable game on the schedule.
The Sun Devils (4-4, 2-3 Big 12) are coming off a hard-fought loss to a top-10 BYU team led by new starting quarterback Jake Fette. Fette threw two touchdown passes against the Cougars, but ASU's offense runs through running back Cardae Mack and wide receiver Reed Harris. Slowing down those two players will be key for Colorado's defense.
After rushing for over 200 yards against Kansas State, Deion Sanders said this week that he hopes the Buffs can continue with that offensive identity against Arizona State. The Sun Devils own a middle-of-the-pack Big 12 run defense, allowing 134 yards per game. Sanders said Tuesday that Richard Young (24 carries, 120 yards against K-State) will start at running back.
Arizona State is only a slight favorite, with Colorado having a solid chance to add another Big 12 win.
As we count down to the matchup, here is how and where to watch Colorado and Arizona State square off.
The Buffaloes and the Sun Devils will kick off at 5:30 p.m. MT on ESPN2.
