Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Creed Humphrey spoke with reporters on Friday. He shared a brutal reaction to the team's disappointing Week 7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
"On game day, it felt like one team showed up ready to roll and the other team, you know, took a little bit of time getting into the game," said Humphrey. "I felt like they played their butts off and got after us, so that's not what our ball is. So we want to get back after it this Sunday."
Last Sunday, the Chiefs were held to 11 first downs and 213 yards of total offense and did not reach the red zone on any of their eight possessions. The multiple-time All-Pro center reveals the team's mindset in practice ahead of Week 8 against the Denver Broncos.
"Just a focus through the week during practices, just a relentless focus," said Humphrey, "showing up, doing your job every single day to the best of your ability."
Humphrey played 375 offensive snaps through 6 games this season. His Pro Football Focus pass-blocking grade of 59.6 ranked 22nd among 35 qualified centers. His run-blocking grade of 68.0 ranked 10th at the position.
