John Jones, from Mold, founded Ace of Sports a decade ago, after an injury put an end to his own football career.
Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength offering a range of sessions to young people across north Wales and beyond.
It has also become well-known for its huge darts events - which have featured the likes of Michael Van Gerwen, Phil Taylor and Luke Humphries.
In 2024, Ace of Sports grew to the point where John was able to open his very own sports academy in his hometown of Mold.
Now, he has confirmed that the business is expanding with another state-of-the art football pitch set to be built at the Bromfield Industrial Estate site.
Work on that is ongoing. The video below shows the progress being made, with the project about 'halfway through' being completed according to Bespoke who are in charge of the project.
Once built, kids can expect to enjoy team games and small-sided matches, as well as training sessions under the lights on the outdoor football pitch.
The Ace of Sports facility already has two indoor football pitches and a mini gym area.
Ace of Sports' John Jones said: "A big thing for us in the area is regeneration and using a space like this and changing into something that can be used for leisure.
"I try to visualise what a young player would want to see and what makes it feel like the Premier League for them."
He added: "When the children walk in here, they're going to look at this and be amazed."
You can keep up to date with the progress being made at the site on the Ace of Sports Facebook page.
