AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim has named his starting line-up for the game against Bologna at San Siro tonight.
Milan are looking for a third straight league win, but there isn’t much to smile about on the selection front. The Rossoneri are still without eight injured players with Mario Gila, Diego Moreira and Adrien Rabiot not risked in view of Saturday’s derby, while the rest are longer-term asbentees.
Given how stretched his squad is, there aren’t an abundance of options to freshen things up in truth. Amorim will name a four-man defence of Fikayo Tomori, Koni De Winter, Strahinja Pavlovic and Pervis Estupinan ahead of the goalkeeper and captain Mike Maignan.
A midfield double pivot of Yunus Musah and Ardon Jashari has been selected, giving Luka Modric a rest. Omari Hutchinson and Davide Bartesaghi have kept their spots on the flanks.
Christian Pulisic will also start on the bench with a view towards the Inter game in three days, leaving Alphadjo Cisse as the one to operate behind the striker Goncalo Ramos.
The bench therefore features the likes of Sankhoun Diawara, Modric, Pulisic and Francesco Camarda but is generally very young, with seven players on it that would normally play for Milan Futuro.
