The TMRW Golf League (TGL) has been such a huge success among golf fans that it's coming to Topgolf.

The innovative indoor golf format, formed by two of the biggest names in the sport in Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, was launched back in 2025.

The pair founded TGL, and its upcoming women's equivalent, WTGL, via their parent company TMRW Sports in 2022, alongside former Golf Channel president Mike McCarley.

The league's team format integrates traditional professional golf with the latest technology to produce fast-paced match play.

The company is now estimated to be valued at over $1 billion based on its latest investment round back in September, doubling its Series A investment from two years ago.

And with 21.78 million tuning into last season's competition, ESPN agreed to a multi-year extension to its TV deal.

Now, they have struck a multi-year agreement with Topgolf to give more casual fans the opportunity to experience what its like to play in the TGL, and tackle the challenges that the professionals do.

This is via custom-designed holes that is featured in the leagues, with Topgolf venues and Toptracer Range facilities also tipped to run various activations to enhance the fan experience.

This news was announced prior to the start of TGL's third season, with the hope that the new partnership with Topgolf can bring a whole new audience to the format.

"TGL and WTGL are redefining how modern fans consume golf, which aligns perfectly with our mission to make the game more accessible through tech-driven innovation," said David McKillips, CEO of Topgolf and Toptracer via a statement.

"Through our partnership with TMRW Sports, our Topgolf venues and Toptracer Range partners are able to turn casual viewers into active participants by giving millions of players a taste of TGL and WTGL action in real time."

To celebrate the inaugural WTGL campaign, Topgolf will be launching the 'Topgolf WTGL Challenge' on November 8, in line with the opening match on the women's league.

Three participants in this challenge will be selected at random to receive a $500 gift card to spend on WTGL merchandise, with the competition running all the way through until December 23.

Other partnership activations down the line will include discounts, opportunities to win prizes, and watch parties.

Some of these prizes on offer include greenside tickets, VIP Clubhouse access and suite experiences.

Some lucky fans could even win a behind-the-scenes pass to visit TGL's home venue - the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

"Fans won't just watch our leagues, they'll get to play them. Together, we can give fans more ways to experience TGL and WTGL, take on the same holes as the pros and stay connected well beyond match night."

TGL will get underway on December 27 when McIlroy's Boston Common Golf, who have recently, in a league-first, traded for his close friend Shane Lowry, will take on the latest expansion team Motor City Golf Club - led by US star Brooks Koepka - in the opening match.
