The 2nd Swanmore Rainbows teamed up with Eastleigh Pirates Rugby Club to take part in the Rainbows First Try programme, a rugby-themed scheme developed by Girlguiding LaSER in partnership with England Rugby.
The session focused on teamwork, confidence-building and having fun while learning basic rugby skills.

Sallyann Smith, leader at 2nd Swanmore Rainbows, said: "The girls had a fantastic time developing their rugby skills with Neil from Eastleigh Pirates Rugby Club. From passing and catching to running with the ball, the session was a brilliant opportunity to try something new, build confidence and discover the excitement of rugby."
The activity supported the Rainbows First Try badge, which encourages girls to get active, learn new skills and experience rugby in a supportive setting.
Neil Cornmell of Eastleigh Pirates Rugby Club said: "Rugby gives girls far more than a game to play.
"It helps build confidence, resilience and lasting friendships, while encouraging them to be themselves and have the courage to try new things."
Girlguiding South West England is encouraging Rainbow units to connect with local rugby clubs to help girls discover new opportunities in sport.
