Nottingham Forest went for quality over quantity in the summer transfer window as Oliver Glasner got his feet firmly under the desk.
The Reds haven’t exactly made a good start to the Glasner era, however, with just one win from their opening eight Premier League matches.

What have YOU made about Liam Delap's start to life at Nottingham Forest?! BIG things were expected…
Elliot Anderson’s departure has left Forest with a bit of a conundrum in the midfield engine room, and it seems as though the Reds might address that in the January transfer window.
Glasner was never going to change everything in one window at Forest, and now it would appear as though plans are being made for the Reds to attack the window when it reopens.
Loftus-Cheek is currently playing alongside Omari Hutchinson, who is on loan from Forest at Milan, but his days in Italy might be numbered.
The midfielder went to the San Siro from Chelsea, and with the Blues, he came through the academy at the same time as Ola Aina and also spent time playing alongside Callum Hudson-Odoi at Stamford Bridge.
Loftus-Cheek is out of contract in the summer, and as a result, Milan could decide to get some cash for the midfielder during the next transfer window to avoid a free transfer in the summer.
The 30-year-old made 155 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 13 goals and claiming 18 assists, with a further 109 outings coming since he moved to Milan.
Signing an experienced player like Loftus-Cheek might not be the most popular with the fan base, but if Glasner wants him then it’s one that they might be willing to get on board with.
| Partnership | Primary Club | Matches Together | Wins | Draws | Losses | Win Rate |
| Ruben Loftus-Cheek & Callum Hudson-Odoi | Chelsea | 35 | 22 | 7 | 6 | 62.9% |
| Ruben Loftus-Cheek & Ola Aina | Chelsea | 81 | 56 | 13 | 12 | 69.1% |
Forest were linked with Lucas Bergvall in the summer, and to go from a player valued at £60 million to a cheap, experienced option would be a curious decision by the club.
However, if Glasner feels he can get a tune out of Loftus-Cheek, then so be it, and if Forest can get it over the line, it would at least bring Premier League experience to the football club.
