Trey Nyoni celebrates after the first goal of his senior career put Liverpool in front against Fenerbahce (Image: Ahmad Mora/Getty Images)
Liverpool are hoping to avoid a third successive defeat when they are entertained by Crystal Palace in the final fixture before the international break on Sunday.
After the 1-0 home reverse to Arsenal and the 3-2 loss to Fenerbahce in the Champions League, a visit to Selhurst Park represents a chance to avoid a poor week becoming something of a mini crisis during the break.
Palace are struggling themselves but trips to South London are rarely straightforward, save for one 7-0 hammering under Jurgen Klopp in December of 2022.
But having made five changes in total for the Istanbul setback on Wednesday night, how will Andoni Iraola look to shuffle his pack this weekend? The ECHO takes a closer look.
Defence
Alisson Becker was not at his peerless best on Wednesday night but he is surely set to keep his place in goal.
Ronald Araujo has been one of the real bright points of the season so far, so expect the on-loan Barcelona defender to return at right-back and Virgil van Dijk to continue his partnership with Jeremy Jacquet. Joe Gomez might count himself unlucky as he was one of the few who played well in Turkey.
At left-back, Milos Kerkez will almost certainly be named ahead of Kostas Tsimikas, should both be fit for the game. Tsimikas struggled against former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood in Turkey this week, so Kerkez, who is a Premier League regular, is expected to be restored.
Midfield
Does Trey Nyoni have it in him to start a third game in a week for the Reds? If so then he has to be named. The 19-year-old was the best player on the park at Chobani Stadium before he was subbed out by Iraola.
It's been a really encouraging few days for Nyoni, despite the results themselves against Arsenal and Fenerbahce. A first Premier League start was followed by a first Champions League goal and he excelled in both games.
It will be interesting to see whether Iraola feels the former Leicester City youngster has enough in the tank to go again this weekend.
Asked if the felt Nyoni was ready to regularly handle the intensity of a three-game week at a club the size of Liverpool, Iraola said on Tuesday: "I think that young players are already ready, you know?
"It's just that maybe one day you have to help us for 20 minutes or start and play 65, or maybe a full game.
"He is also adding endurance because sometimes when you are young, you feel OK, you are not going to get tired but you need to add this to your body.
"It's a big step [playing] every three or four days and I think they are in the process, the young players Rio Ngumoha, Trey, Lewis Koumas, they are playing important games and minutes and I am happy with them."
If this game is one too many for a young player developing his endurance and durability, Dominik Szoboszlai will likely partner Alexis Mac Allister. The Hungary captain doesn't look 100% after a recent hamstring issue but the options are thinning out just now.

This game is likely to come too soon for Ryan Gravenberch but Iraola did say on Tuesday that the Netherlands midfielder will be assessed on a day to day basis before the week having suffered a heel injury.
Florian Wirtz will be recalled for the No.10 role having emerged off the bench in Turkey.
Up front
In the wide areas, Iraola has plenty of choices. Bradley Barcola, Rio Ngumoha, Victor Munoz and Cody Gakpo are all vying for spots.
Barcola was ineffective as a No.9 against Fenerbahce and that is likely an experiment that won't be rehashed anytime soon on the basis of Wednesday night. But the France international is probably still expected to start this weekend.
Rio Ngumoha played wel against Fenerbahce but like Nyoni, Liverpool must manage the 18-year-old's workload carefully and Gakpo is more of a goal threat anyway. Expect Gakpo to be restored and swap wings with Barcola as the game develops.
Alexander Isak, now up to seven goals for the season, will lead the line. On the back of a disappointing few days, this game has taken on even greater significance.
