The Ultimate Athlete-Approved Watches From H. Moser, Tissot, & Patek Philippe

An H. Moser design by Super Bowl winner Saquon Barkley, a Tissot made with NBA All-Star Damian Lillard and Joe DiMaggio’s rare Patek Philippe.

Epic achievements on the gridiron, the baseball diamond and the hardwood go hand in hand with exquisite taste outside of the sporting world, at least when it comes to three jaw-dropping, athlete-approved watches now on the market.

Although separated by decades, a Joe DiMaggio Patek Philippe hits the auction block as a refined tribute to the legendary major leaguer, while NFL record-breaker Saquon Barkley partners with horologist H. Moser & Cie and Tissot links up again with the NBA’s Damian Lillard. Discover more about each covetable masterpiece below.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ Saquon Barkley certainly doesn’t do things half-speed, winning the 2025 Super Bowl in Philly and now turning his considerable prowess towards the world of high horology. After first wearing a covetable H. Moser & Cie. watch to the 2025 Met Gala, Barkley just worked with the luxe and unconventional watchmaker on a timepiece packed with elevated details selected by the game-changing running back himself. The aventurine subdial is backed by the company’s HMC 811 caliber movement and cylindrical tourbillon, while SuperLumiNova markings at 2-o’clock and 6-o’clock reflect the number the All-Pro star wears from sideline to endzone. $99,000 at H. Moser & Cie.

Tissot PRX Skeleton Damian Lillard Edition

Across the past decade, Tissot has served as the Official Timekeeper of the NBA, while the affordable watchmaker has partnered with NBA All-Star veteran Damian Lillard since 2021. The fruitful venture now results in a bold 44mm skeletonized watch that the company notes is “as individual and stylish” as the Portland Trailblazer and acclaimed guard.

The tonneau-shaped 316L stainless steel case is accented by burgundy detailing throughout, including a gold-colored 9-o’clock subdial referring to Lillard’s rapper alias, “Dame D.O.L.L.A.,” which is then encircled by another Lillard nickname, “Dame Time.” Burgundy leather and rubber strap options combine the sporty and the luxe in seamless fashion, thanks to a quick-release system. $2,075 at Tissot

Although not a recent athlete-endorsed or designed watch, Wind Vintage certainly has quite the find on its hands. Up for sale now is an exceptional timepiece believed to have been gifted to “Joltin’ Joe” by the New York Yankees following his 1941 56-game hitting streak. Hand-cut Breguet numerals distinguish the refined 33mm 18-karat yellow gold timepiece, which DiMaggio kept in his collection for more than 50 years (until his death, in fact).

Wind Vintage notes that “it is arguably the greatest known Patek Philippe tied to any professional athlete and certainly any baseball player,” boasting just two other owners besides DiMaggio. It last sold in 2017 at Patek Philippe’s Grand Exhibition, and an incredibly lucky fourth owner will likely soon acquire this legendary watch. Available now through Wind Vintage for $1.2 million
