Our LSU beat team makes its picks for the Tigers’ Week 10 showdown with Alabama, a consequential matchup set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. Saturday on ABC from Tiger Stadium.

Scott Rabalais

LSU 30, Alabama 17

The Crimson Tide has an explosive offense led by Keelon Russell and an opportunistic defense. That means an LSU victory is predicated on the Tigers not giving anything easy to Alabama in terms of big plays or easy scoring opportunities. That said, Alabama scored only 10 points and had 201 total yards at Tennessee in October. Bama will have its moments, but the LSU offense will lean on the Crimson Tide to the breaking point.

Jon Blau

LSU 24, Alabama 21

The Alabama offense has struggled to establish a ground game, and quarterback Keelon Russell has been susceptible to pressure. If the LSU defensive line continues racking up sacks at home, it’ll be hard for the visitors to keep pace with an improving LSU offense. It’ll just be incumbent on Sam Leavitt to continue playing mistake-free football against an opportunistic defense, which is the most athletic LSU has seen to this point.

Koki Riley

LSU 28, Alabama 24

This game will come down to the trenches. Both defensive lines hold an advantage against the opposing offensive line, and both offenses operate better when their quarterbacks have time to throw the ball. But LSU is at home, and its defense has been a nut that’s been nearly impossible to crack in Tiger Stadium. Alabama has the best offense LSU will face at home this season, but I’m leaning into that home-field advantage.

Reed Darcey

LSU 27, Alabama 24

Alabama is a much more functional offensive team than Clemson, Texas A&M, Mississippi State or Auburn. But the Tide did rush for only 122 yards across its last two games, and Keelon Russell was sacked 15 times in October. That's why LSU is favored so heavily. Too heavily, I'd say, especially since it's November, and we still haven't seen the Tigers knock off a playoff team. This will be LSU's biggest win to date.
