Women’s Royal Rumble 2027: Which WWE stars could win next year’s match

With three months to go until next year’s Royal Rumble match, there are still a number of big changes we could see happen in regards to the women’s divisions on both Raw and SmackDown.

However, now is the time of year where things tend to begin building towards WrestleMania, and as it stands, there are a few standouts that could be the ones to score the victory in next year’s match in Phoenix.

Here are three potential winners of the 2027 Women’s Royal Rumble.

Rhea Ripley

WWE Women's Champion Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley wrestled two matches on the WWE European Tour after suffering a knee injury at Clash in Italy.

After suffering an injury at WWE Clash In Italy, Rhea Ripley has been out of action, leading to her vacating the WWE Women’s Championship she won at WrestleMania last year.

With Wrestlepalooza in Perth set for this December, Rhea has been advertised for the days leading up to the show itself.

If Rhea is ready to return by the time the Rumble rolls around, she would have to be considered the favourite to win it all.

Naomi

WWE Women's World Champion Naomi

Another WWE star that never ended up losing the World Championship that she won, Naomi relinquished the Women’s World Championship last Summer when she announced her pregnancy.

Naomi has been off TV for over a year now, but with the recent addition of Jaida Parker to the 946 amid the ongoing issues between the group and the Bloodline, many are expecting this to be where Naomi makes her grand return to help even the odds.

When Naomi is finished fighting off Jaida, she should immediately look to regain the title that she never lost, and that would make her a favourite to win the Royal Rumble.

IYO SKY

WWE's IYO SKY
IYO SKY came up short against Liv Morgan at WWE SummerSlam

After being almost inarguably the best wrestler in the entire company in 2025, 2026 has not been a good year for IYO SKY.

Despite winning the Queen of the Ring Tournament, 2026 has been by far the worst year of her WWE main roster career, and maybe entire career up until this point.

WWE needs to sort it’s booking out and start getting it right with their best wrestler again next year, which could begin by securing her spot in a major way at WrestleMania after being left off this year’s show.
