Welcome back to the PhHN Daily!

I know we have not been doing them as often, but with the NHL season now in full swing, they will become a key part of our content once again! So with that, let’s get into the news!

We’ve got a handful of Flyers topics at hand today, including their latest game, a terrible, then great, then awful matchup against a Metro Division foe. We also take a look at the latest trade rumors around Philly, and some leaks on their newest uniform.

Around the league, one star made his debut with his new club. A Flyers rival’s point streak is snapped, a heavy weight bout, and you guessed it, more trade rumors!

Get it all on the 10/28 edition of the PhHN Daily!

Philadelphia Flyers

Philly Hockey Now: Let’s start with the fun stuff. The “Hometown Remix” campaign is nearly here. The Flyers are getting a dark grey sweater. We started to piece together all of the rumors and leaks to get an early idea of what this could look like.

A slight bonus: I caught a look at the new helmet last night in the locker room after the game. It looks pretty sweet.

Now, for the game. It was a horrific, embarrassing start for the Flyers, who eventually overcame it and fought back to even with a last-second goal. They forced overtime after a dominating 40 minutes, but ultimately, mistakes caught up to them. The Flyers could not complete the comeback, falling 4-3 to the Blue Jackets.

Side note from the game. We tried a new writing style for our postgame story. It’s a little different than the way things have been done in the past. Check out our gamer, and let us know what you think of the new style!

Daily Faceoff: Anthony Di Marco is becoming a big name when it comes to Flyers trade rumors. The latest rumor: shocker, the Flyers want centers. He’s mentioned names like Matty Beniers and Ridley Greig in the past. Now, he adds three more names to the list. Frank Nazar, Oliver Moore, and Charlie Stramel are now becoming names to watch in the Flyers’ center hunt.

NHL Trade Rumors & News

Carolina Hockey Now: Ding Ding Ding! It was fight night in Raleigh during the Hurricanes vs. Bruins matchup. As one could have guessed, NHL heavyweights Nicolas Deslauriers and Tanner Jeannot dropped ’em and chucked ’em in an absolutely legendary tilt. You have to check out this fight!

New Jersey Hockey Now: Connor Hellebuyck made his New Jersey Devils’ debut on Tuesday on the road, and it could not have gone any better. The former Jet led his new squad to a 5-1 victory over the Stars. He wasn’t tested much, but that’s a good thing. Devils won 5-1 in Hellebuyck’s debut game.

Boston Hockey Now: The Bruins entered Tuesday’s game against the Hurricanes on a point streak, before it was snapped by the defending champs. Jack Studley breaks down what exactly went wrong for the Bruins in their loss to the Hurricanes.

TSN: Trade rumors galore! On the latest edition of TSN’s Insider Trading, Darren Dreger gave a brief update on the chatter he’s been hearing, including the Kraken looking for a top-line scoring winger and some trade talk out of Nashville. But what most people are interested in, a big update on the Simon Edvinsson situation.

NHLTradeRumors.me: More on the chatter in Seattle. Dave Litman breaks down the latest rumors coming out of the Emerald City, including the potential of centers Berkly Catton or Jake O’Brien being moved for the right player.
