India have called up Auqib Nabi to the squad for the first three ODIs against New Zealand, starting November 4.
The right-arm pacer, who was initially named in the squad for the fourth and fifth ODIs only, will now be with the team from the start of the 50-over series. The change comes after Prasidh Krishna was ruled out of the five-match series yesterday.
Nabi wasn't a part of India's T20I side. However, he was in New Zealand with the A team. Having featured in the first unofficial Test against the hosts, he wasn't named in the revised squad for the second game that started on Saturday (October 31).
Prasidh, who was recovering from a hamstring injury, was unavailable for selection after failing to regain the required match fitness. He will need additional time to build up the workload necessary to be match-ready and is expected to return for the subsequent Tests. Nabi's inclusion brings an additional pace option into the mix. He's played only one ODI so far, debuting against West Indies in Guwahati last month.
