The Blackburn Rovers boss saw Ryan Alebiosu limped off against Stoke City in midweek which makes him a major doubt for this game.

Tom Atcheson is another who might not be available, though it's doubtful he'd start anyway unless there was a formation shift.

Gady Beyuku is poised for his first Championship start should Alebiosu not make it. Otherwise, the rest of the defence could be unchanged.

There is little reason to alter the first-choice midfield pairing of Sam Morsy and Kristi Montgomery.

In attack, the right-wing spot remains up for grabs. It may finally be time for Augustus Kargbo to get his first Rovers start in what would be 435 days.

Todd Cantwell, Dapo Afolayan and Andri Gudjohnsen should complete the forward line.

Predicted Rovers XI: Toth; Beyuku, Carter, McLoughlin, Pickering; Montgomery, Morsy; Kargbo, Cantwell, Afolayan; Gudjohnsen.
