The Scottish Premiership guarantees drama - and we're braced for more ahead of the international break.

While Martin O'Neill looks to return to winning ways in the Premiership to remain at least four points clear at the top, Marink Reedjik will be hoping Hibernian's League Cup semi-final victory was the catalyst to kick-start their season at struggling Aberdeen.

Saturday 7th November 7:30pm Kick off 8:00pm

Derek McInnes takes his Rangers side to St Mirren, live on Sky Sports, looking to cut the Hoops' lead, and others know form must improve if they are to avoid a relegation battle.

Here, we take a look at the big talking points ahead of the weekend…

Will Celtic keep the feel-good factor?

Martin O'Neill is hoping their dramatic Europa League win against Besiktas gives them "a platform to charge on" and wants that to start with a much-needed Premiership victory on Sunday.

The Hoops are still top of the table, but have taken just one point from their last two league game while Rangers are closing in without the pressure of European football to contend with.

Kilmarnock, who are just a point above bottom side Hibs having played a game more, are winless in their last 22 trips to Parkhead.

Their current tally of nine points is their lowest after 12 games of a Premiership season since 2017-18, when they had eight at this stage.

Can Rangers turn up the heat?

Derek McInnes' side head to St Mirren looking to maintain their momentum and pick up another important three points in their Premiership title push, following their League Cup semi-final win over Aberdeen.

They are unbeaten in the league since mid-August and can cut Celtic's lead to a point with a win in Paisley, until Sunday at least.

The Buddies have won just one of their last eight league games, although are unbeaten at home in their last two.

They have lost four successive meetings with Rangers in all competitions, including twice already this season - 5-1 in the League Cup and 1-0 in the league.

Hibs revival or Aberdeen upturn?

Marink Reedijk has challenged his Hibernian players to keep the level that secured a place in the Scottish League Cup final as they look to lift themselves off the foot of the Premiership.

The Hampden win over Hearts was his first as Hibs boss. and he is now looking for his first top-flight victory after taking just one point from four games.

They face an Aberdeen side also in need of a win. Their League Cup exit to Rangers last time out followed back-to-back league defeats.

Stephen Robinson's side, who are just three points above Hibs, have managed just one win from their last five league games at Pittodrie.

Reedijk wants to continue the feel good factor, while Robinson knows he needs a result to ease the pressure mounting on him after less than a year in charge.

A return to form before the international break?

Motherwell halted their winless run last weekend and will be hoping for one last push heading into the next international break.

It will not be an easy trip to Dundee United. They are unbeaten in their last six games, with their last league defeat coming against the Steelmen back in September.

After an impressive return to the top-flight, St Johnstone are hoping for their first league win in five when they host Dundee.

It will be a battle in Edinburgh as a depleted Hearts look to recover from their midweek Conference League disappointment to stop in-form opponents Falkirk replacing them in third place.
